A Parish Spiritual Growth Mission
40 Days of Purpose is a 6-week spiritual growth campaign that
is designed to answer the question “What on earth am I here for?” Together
our entire church family learnt about God's five purposes for our lives, and
we had opportunities to take steps in growth in each of these areas.
During Lent 2005 we, as a parish
Read the 40 daily readings in The Purpose Driven Life book by Rick Warren to guide us in our personal journey to discover God's purposes for your life.

This programme helps people to connect with God and begin to understand where God is in their lives, helps them find out what it means to be connected with a loving faith community, to grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding, find their God-given gifts and talents, and develop a love for God and others, and a heart for the World. All of this has the potential and possibility to bring change and transformation to people’s lives – to your life – to really bring meaning and purpose and help you find the answers you seek to the questions that lie deep within you. We also believe that in the aftermath of the recent terrible tragedies in South East Asia and the Indian Ocean, this programme has come at a time when it will be greatly needed and valued.
We hope that each and every one of you will want to be involved and will invite your family, friends and neighbours to come along with you. Congregations who have undertaken this programme have been revitalized and people have found a whole new relationship with God in Christ, or have been brought into a loving relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ for the first time. That can happen here too. That is our hope and our prayer.
The program started with the launch event, held on Sunday 30th January 2005. Read all about this exciting meeting here.
