A new Catechumenal journey began in September, with three new Enquirers. We were especially pleased to welcome them as all three had come to join from other programs run in the parish. It is already, after only a few meetings, a very exciting and lively group who are full of questions and are very willing to share their thoughts and experiences.

The team this year (2008-09) is as follows:

We completed the Enquiry stage of our journey into deeper faith on Sunday,2nd October, All Saints Day. At services that day, our Enquirers participated in a small rite, stating their aims for the journey. We then moved into the Formation stage, during which our discussions and questions will focus on Scripture, Prayer, Liturgy and Ministry.

The support group from the parish are our Prayer Partners. These people have undertaken to pray for the Enquirers and/or the team, on a regular basis. It is a great gift to know that we are being upheld by regular prayer. The Prayer Partners come to our Christmas party to get to know the Enquirers in an informal atmosphere.

All on the team join me in hoping that many members of the parish will remember the team and Sara, Joan and Jill, in their prayers. Catechumenate is a very special journey into deeper faith, and an exploration of what we do believe.

If you would like to know more, please contact the church office for phone numbers.

A happy, holy Christmas to one and all.

Mary Lynn Webb (Co-ordinator.)
