Directive from our Archbishop

This action is taken in response to the deep concern created for our community by the  spread of Coronavirus  (COVID – 19)

The directive from our Archbishop is that Anglican public worship cease until further notice. We are now a church that looks very different from our normal life; but our core business of prayer and building our relationship with our God, and being carriers of the Good News, must go on. With many others, we are creating pastoral and spiritual connections to keep us strong as a faith community, and to keep us burning brightly as a Christian beacon in these suburbs. Care for each other – stay in touch regularly.

The prayer from the Archbishop’s letter:
God of the present moment,
God who in Jesus stills the storm
and soothes the frantic heart;
bring hope and courage to all
who wait or work in uncertainty.
Bring hope that you will make them
the equal of whatever lies ahead.
Bring them courage to endure what cannot be avoided,
for your will is health and wholeness;
you are God, and we need you. Amen. Adapted by Bp Jeremy Greaves from N.Z. Prayer Book
