Pastoral Ministries

We take seriously the commandment to love one another through the changing seasons of our lives.

Care Calls and Home Communion

Our Care Calls phone team checks in with those who are unable to attend church regularly to offer a listening presence and ensure a continuing connection to parish life.

A home communion visit may also be requested.

A weekly reflective liturgy is made available for those worshipping at home.

Aged Care Communities

Our visiting teams offer a monthly service and/or room visiting at local aged care facilities.

Healing Eucharist

We believe in God’s love toward all God has made and recognise that healing wisdom is present in medical science, cohesive community, healthy relationships and our faith.

As part of this quiet eucharist we listen to stories from those who have encountered God’s love in pastoral, nourishing and healing ways.

End of Life Anointing

End of Life Anointing is available to individuals who are nearing death offering reassurance of God’s presence and grace in life’s final journey.

This rite may include conversation with the dying person if they are able, the reading of familiar scripture and prayers of comfort, anointing with oil as a symbol of release from suffering and reconciliation in God and commendation of the individual to God’s continuing care. If the individual is able, Holy Communion may be requested.
