Rites of Farewell and Memory

End of Life Anointing

End of Life Anointing is available to individuals who are nearing death offering reassurance of God’s presence and grace in life’s final journey.

This rite may include conversation with the dying person if they are able, the reading of familiar scripture and prayers of comfort, anointing with oil as a symbol of release from suffering and reconciliation in God and commendation of the individual to God’s continuing care. If the individual is able, Holy Communion may be requested.

Contact us to arrange a visit.

Our churches are available to those of all faiths or no faith for funerals and memorial services.

There are forms of service available in our Anglican Prayer Book; however, it is possible to craft a service that fits individual circumstances.

Just let your funeral director know you wish to arrange a funeral with us or have our clergy perform a graveside service or service at another location.
